The John Villiers Outback Art Prize finalists

Finalists in the John Villiers Outback Art Prize have now been announced, with xx artists being recognised from more than 153 entries.

The shortlisted art works will be on display at the John Villiers Outback Art Prize exhibition, held at the Outback Regional Gallery at the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton from 15 March to 11 May 2025.

The finalists’ images will also be featured online for the duration of the exhibition. 

Budding young country artists aged 5-14 years will also have their work on show in the online Children’s Art Project and Digital Exhibition, for the duration of the John Villiers Outback Art Prize exhibition.

The John Villiers Trust (JVT) has supported the Waltzing Matilda Centre and the John Villiers Outback Art Prize since 2011 and is proud to help give young people from rural, regional and remote communities a voice and opportunity to express themselves through art.
