Applying for a Grant

The John Villiers Trust accepts applications from eligible charities for projects taking place in Queensland which fit within one of our five program areas and three support sub-types. Before making an application, please check you are eligible.

When you prepare your application, you will be asked to select the program which best fits your project and the relevant support sub-type. You can apply in one program area only and in one support sub-type only. Your project should fit within at least one of the focus areas listed in your selected program.  Your project should also fit within at least one of the support sub-types under the relevant type of support.  More details and examples of how this works can be found in our JVT Funding Guidelines & Grant Conditions.

We are always happy to discuss your proposal with you, prior to submission but please don’t leave it until the last minute.

Next Grants Round

Our Expression of Interest round for 2018 has now concluded.

Please note that at present the Directors are conducting a review of the grant making strategy and processes of the Trust, with a view to providing a more strategic and transparent framework for organisations who would like to work with the Trust to support Queensland communities.

As a consequence the Directors will not be conducting an Expression of Interest process for grants during the financial year 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.  The current focus of the Directors is to put time and energy into the grant making activities of the Trust for the following financial year (1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020) where it is anticipated that a number of larger grants will be on offer.

Please contact the office (07 3102 9588 or if you have any queries.
